Beckton - Marc Joss Review
An early afternoon at job at West Ham meant I had a few hours to kill before heading to the Emirates to watch Arsenal beat Bayern Munich! What better way to fill the gap than a Nandventure at the not-too-distant Beckton Nando's which has recently had a beautiful refurb?
I got off a bus and had a 10-minute walk through a park to this Nando's which really caught the eye from a distance. It's a stand-alone building with a giant Barcelo standing proud outside and looks great. It's a very colourful Nando's with plenty of yellow and green seating including a swirly sofa running down the middle of it. It has glorious high ceilings and funky lighting, a definite 5 in my book.
As for the meal, everything was pretty good! I'd have preferred my mayo dip to arrive in a ceramic dish rather than a miniscule plastic container, but that was rectified by requesting a second helping! The chicken was lovely and quite spicy, peri chips were plentiful and well-cooked, halloumi was delicious as always!
The staff were enthusiastic, but maybe could have been slightly smilier in general. All in all, this was a great meal and I'd fully recommend this Nando's if you're in the area.
