Bentley Bridge - James RYN Review
Recently opened and the decor shows - superb and some really nice round booth seating areas and displays. I'd give it a full 5/5 for decor if I hadn't been to the London Bridge branch!
Unfortunately the decor is where the above average Nando's experience ends at this branch, with the rest of the meal being average or below par.
On arrival there was no one to greet us and take us to our table, so we eventually sat ourselves down. Ordering was fine and food arrival time was average. The food however was disappointing, with the burger being half the size it should have been (reinforcing rumors of reduced portion sizes for 2011), and the chips were undercooked and luke warm. As for the peri-spice, I had to ask for more and the waiter in question obliged by bringing me over the peri-shaker.
The surroundings were decent enough with the Nando's being in a leisure park with cinema and some other restaurants. Lucky we had sat-nav to get there though since there was no obviou town centre nearby. Therefore I would recommend driving there!
Overall there is definite scope for improvement and with some slightly more attentive staff, and more careful food preparation, this Nando's could be a real winner.
