A lovely afternoon speaking to modern languages students at the University of Birmingham was rounded off with a decent Nando's in the incredible Grand Central, which has blessed New Street station with a makeover and a whole host of brand new shops and restaurants.

This Nando's is split over two levels and seems quite big, but given it's inside a major station, I expect timing is key when it comes to getting a table right away. 3:30 on a Tuesday was a suitable time for me and I swiftly ordered my usual. All the food arrived as expected and the manager gave me my mayo straight away which definitely helps, rather than having to ask for it when your food arrives.

The weirdest aspect of the decor is a painting of a woman with a goat's head, which I'm glad I didn't spot until after my meal if I'm honest! It's a funky new Nando's otherwise, with Barcelo's story presented very visibly downstairs and upstairs.

My chicken could've been spicier, but all good otherwise. Would happily return if in the area!
