Bishop's Stortford - Ryan Review
Visited this Nando's on my way back home. It's, sort of, in the Jackson Square development in the town centre - but the whole of the town centre seems to be part of Jackson Square. There is parking at Jackson Square and it's priced Mon-Sat 7:30am-midnight at 80p/1hr, £1.60/2hrs, £2.20/3hrs, £2.90/4hrs and £3.60/5hr for a maximun 5 hour stay and it's free outside these times. It's about a half mile walk away from Bishop's Stortford train station.
Arrived here around 3pm and it was half full. It's quite striking inside and there is an abundance of colour mainly from the dozens of large canvas paintings on the walls. Plenty of booth seating in the back half of the restaurant. Toilets at the back and tiled in yellow and white patterned tiles.
I went for the sunset burger and chips - but it took ages to come. Three tables came in after me and ordered after me (one table came in over 15 minutes after me), but all received their food before me. Just over 25 minutes later it came and the chips were soggy and under-cooked and still hard in the middle. The chicken thigh fillets on the burger were a bit thin but cooked nicely and very juicy.
Staff were pleasant enough but doing as expected.
