


Very disappointed with the quality of service at this Nando’s. Let down that myself and my partner used our red chilly reward at this particular restaurant. As our food could be seen standing under the hot plate counter for over 10 minutes before 1 of the 9 members of staff, who were crowded around the front desk making more noise than actual customers (not that the restaurant was even that busy) When a young / possibly new waitress brought our chewy, dry and burnt meals to us my partner stated that the food had been waiting there for over 10 minutes she replied oh and after travelling for 7 hours we did not want to ask for a refund or wait for a fresh meal. As for the usual Nando’s process of asking how the customers meal is, it’s disappointing that we weren’t even asked. Out of the 9 members of staff standing about chatting, drinking behind the till in customer view there were customers & deliveroo drivers awaiting to be greeted and dirty tables that still needed to be cleared and cleaned. One last thing, the hospitality industry is supposed to be at the top of its game in regards to basic food hygiene and cleaning produces with covid. Both our glasses were visibly dirty. The reason we didn’t complain as it was clear there was management on site, amongst the crowd of staff chattering away. We are just thankful there are another two Nando’s in Cardiff as it is highly doubtful we would visit or recommend spending money at mermaid quay again. We look forward to your response.
