Cardiff - Mermaid Quay - LawVS Review
My girlfriend and I were down at Cardiff Bay to go to the Doctor Who Experience and fancied a spot of lunch. There was a good mix of restaurants but Nando's was represented even down on the bay. There's a good amount of entertainment around including said experience and the Millenium Center about a few minutes walk away.
When we walked in, the staff were OK and got us sorted quickly. However, in comparison to St David's Nando's, this was deathly quiet. Granted it was a Monday, but this was REALLY quiet. Only two or three covers and one of them looked like the manager having his lunch break. The decor was cosy though, albeit a little dingy and poorly lit. Also, the toilets here are unisex which is something I've not seen before.
The food here too was of an acceptable standard. It was of a good heat, portion size and taste but it didn't really blow us away. My girlfriend had the Halloumi and Portabella Wrap and the cheese content was a little on the low side; she likes halloumi so this was a shame.
In summary it, like the other Nando's in Cardiff, is passable and you won't be disappointed but you won't be bowled over either.
