*Dry run day review*

A new Nando's in Enfield can only be a good thing, what with crazy demand at the Enfield Town restaurant most nights of the week. This one is slightly more awkward to get to, with a car almost definitely required, though parking is significantly easier, with abundant free spaces located in the retail park.

First impressions are that the restaurant is smaller than expected, and the queue was running out the door into the 0 degree night air. We waited nonetheless, and a very friendly Nandoca took our names and sorted out a table for us. She was very apologetic for the 30+ minute wait, so a good first impression of staff. This impression continued when we were introduced to the new managers, and served by a very bubbly lady on the tills.

While waiting for food we took in the decorations, which are of course all pristine, and quite standard of a new suburban Nando's. A solid 4/5, and nice to have non-sticky brand new tables. No artwork of particular note, and the tables are tightly packed due to lack of space. A patrao later confirmed they wished they could have made the restaurant bigger!

The wait for the food was probably the weakest part of the night. A long wait was inevitable due to how busy the restaurant was, but our food was brought over a good 10 minutes apart, despite being on the same receipt. My girlfriend therefore had a dilemma of whether to wait for my food to arrive, or not let hers get hold. The latter prevailed, and she was a good half way through before mine was presented. Hopefully just teething troubles!

As for the food, it was good considering this was a dry run night, though my chips had to be sent back for more peri-spice (there really wasn't very much). My double wrap held its shape as I would expect, but the rice was a bit dry and disappointing. My girlfriend said her wings were decidedly average, though not necessarily bad. 3/5 seems fair for food overall.

So would I return? Given this is now one of the closest Nando's to my home, and I regularly visit the nearby cinema, I'm sure I will! It will be interesting to see how busy this restaurant gets on a regular Friday or Saturday night. Now a Nando's in Southgate or Barnet please...
