Gloucester - Marc Joss Review
Gloucester Nando's is by a Cineworld cinema and surrounded by other restaurants with a whole range of shopping possibilities available in Gloucester Quays. Parking was £2 for up to 2 hours and boy were we glad that it was a bit of a walk to the car after this Nando's feast!
This Nando's has a huge front which lets in as much natural light as you could possibly want. I was told this was thanks to a fairly recent refurb which saw the restaurant capacity rise significantly. I put my order through and decided to go for the increasingly popular loaded double wrap! My girlfriend went for a prego steak roll to mix things up in what was our third Nando's in four days.
Our starter reached the table before I did and the main courses arrived just as we were coming to an end of our houmous with peri drizzle (the obvious starter option). My chicken wrap was delightfully prepared with good ratios of chicken, sauce, cheese and pineapple. It was perfectly spicy and complemented by my generously peri-salted chips. I could hardly move on completion, this meal was brilliant.
As for the decor, I wasn't huge on some of the paintings but the chilli lights, pottery and open front are worthy of a 4. Everything was clean and the staff were great. This visit went very well, Nando's 154 done. Next up should be Nantgarw on Sunday 9 November before Swansea Arsenal!
