Nando's number 99 in order of opening is Goodge Street, and this was the venue of the next Nando's, with fellow reviewer Damien.

As we arrived, we were pretty much told 'go away' and 'no' quite a few times, which I was a little taken a back by, and to go to the other Nando's 'down the road'. After a short discussion, we were advised we would have to wait up to 30 minutes. We chose to go to the pub, and come back, as we wanted to visit this particular Nando's.

Nando’s 99 brought me back to central London’s Goodge Street for my second visit of the year, my fifth or sixth visit in all. Seven of us met up at a busy nearby pub, then wandered over there just before 7pm. We weren't instantly greeted at the door, but eventually somebody came over with a pained expression on his face. I asked for a table for seven and he just shook his head. “No”. I’ve been to Nando’s a hell of a lot of times, and have never straight up been told “no” at the door.

Making my second visit to Goodge Street I can only ever find this branch if someone is with me as I'm terrible at directions. It's relatively easy to get there from Goodge Street Underground station, it's about a 7 minute walk but I just can't get my bearings.

The 29th Rate Your Nando's Reviewer Dinner was a lovely social affair with a cracking quiz, however, I would have to say that Goodge Street Nando's is not one that I'd return to in a hurry. It's very small and cramped and it's difficult to move around. I was sad to see that the manager was not particularly pleased to see us on arrival, but he did warm up to us during the evening and his table service was excellent.

The twenty ninth RateYourNando’s reviewer meal marked my third or fourth visit to Goodge Street Nando’s, my first time back there since about 2010. From my sketchy memory, not much has changed. It’s still a bit old-looking and cramped, and the staff still seem thoroughly flustered. I arrived with three others, after a swift drink in the pub over the road, and we were seated on a round table near the long tables occupied by the other RYNers.

This was my 2nd visit to this particular branch in Goodge Street, for our RYN Reviewers Dinner, they’d allocated some space at the back , it was however a bit cramped.

My company moved its offices to a building on the doorstep of Edgware Road tube station so I decided it was only right to get a Nando's for lunch. Figured I could easily make the trip down to the Goodge Street branch and back within the hour (it's the nearest branch I've not visited before)... Popped across on the Circle/H&C line two stops to Great Portland Street and then walked the length of Cleveland Street (luckily I just avoided a hail shower while briefly on the tube).

I came here with a few friends we were 5 in total and we were told by our greeter that we would wait 15 minutes which is understandable since the restaurant was packed. But after only a few minutes she told us our table was ready. The queue was very long but that also took only 3 minutes until we got to order our food. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Finding this place is easy enough but tonight i shouldn't have bothered. Ages to get my order taken at counter. Twenty minute wait for my food bearing in mind the table who came in after me got their food first. The cute guy actually came to ask me if I was still waiting???The tables were so close together, i unfortunately got a feel of the guys crotch and ass as he rubbed past me.

the greeter explained there would be a 30minute wait for food. in fact mine took about 15mins. the ordering desk was chaotic and the 3 staff members seemed distracted. our table, near the front of the restaurant, was very close to the next ones either side but loads of empty tables further back. my chicken was slightly burnt but the chef had hidden the burnt bits. good job I like burnt bits!!!!the sweet potato mash had small lumps. the toilets are very clean.

Went on a long lunch break with some new colleagues. Ordered a lot of food and it came out pretty swiftly. Enjoyed the double chicken pitta but the salads were bitter. The layout felt a bit cramped as we were placed at the back of the restaurant but enjoyed the ambience.

An amazing Scottish girl with a name badge 'trainee' however, was the best waitress nandos has had. Outstanding service and very polite and great with many different customers and had a very good energy about the place. She was also very understanding and sorted the problem when my food was taken a very long compaired to the amount of people in the restaurant.

First visit and I'll certainly be back!

Staff were extremely friendly, and the food was great. Situated on a quieter street in Central London, this is a perfect location to head to for a winding down meal with some friends.

The decor was refined and the restaurant was clean, mainly due to the attentiveness of the staff cleaning up after you.

Thoroughly enjoyable meal!

What better place to spend Friday lunchtime than Goodge Street Nando's especially after teaching English all morning on the UCL campus? This visit was remarkable on various levels and has firmly cemented Goodge Street as my favourite branch.

My second visit to this Nando's (with the RYN team!).

Staff were very friendly throughout the visit!

Food came pretty quickly given that there was like 13+ of us and tasted very good! Extra Hot wings, peri chips, garlic bread & haloumi for me.

Restaurant looked very clean and tidy.

Was great meeting up with the other RYN members and look forward to our next visit!

Courtesy of the Rate Your Nandos team I was fortunate enough a 3 course meal at the Goodge Street branch. I was served by the wonderful manager Minty and decided to order Halloumi cheese, together with butterfly chicken, chips and spicy rice. For the first time in my long-serving Nando's custom, I ordered a dessert too: Gooey Caramel Cheesecake.

I had been previously warned by another previewer that if you give a bad review to this store Marc makes you go in to have lunch with the manageress, a level of quality assurance I appreciate. Close to Oxford street and Regent street shops this friendly small store is ideal for the break in your shopping spree, The staff were very obliging throughout and were tolerant of the length of time we spent there. Its a well presented store and it has a good level of art work and object d’art.

The first ever Rate Your Nando's Contributor Dinner was held at this fine central London branch and it was the perfect chance to meet some fellow Nando's fans after almost 2 and a half years of Rate Your Nando's.
The last time I'd visited Goodge Street, some ugly scaffolding was almost camouflaging the branch but luckily now that has been removed and Nando's is far more visible.

The staff were extremely friendly and cheerful, although the restaurant was busy the queue to order food moved extremely fast which fitted around my lunch hour and always does reflected in how long it took for the food to arrive. The location is particularly useful as it is not too far from Great Portland Street station. I personally love how all the food comes together even when there is a large group of us, (the veg and the meat which is rare occurrence elsewhere).

Despite having taken a knock (see scaffolding outside) this Nando's is thankfully a solid restaurant. Our table of 5 had begun to talk to each other, but luckily the food had arrived in good time. The chicken (1 whole medium and 1 hot) was well-sauced, though slightly overcooked.

I decided to visit Goodge Street on my lunch break which turned out to be a great decision. I would say that timing is crucial at this branch as I was seated straight away (table for two) on arrival at 12:30 but by 12:45, that would not have been possible as the lunch break crowd started to pour in.
