After an incredibly tiring day at the international trade fair in Harrogate, I decided to drag my weary parents out of their hotel room and take them to Harrogate's Nando's. We had had a very disappointing meal the night before in another restaurant in the town so feeling disheartened and not so confident in the town's eaterys, they had resolved to grab a takeaway. Not on my watch. I knew that in order to restore their faith in eating out, a Nando's was in order. So, with sore feet and looking rather dishevelled off we ventured to Nando's; me marching very quickly, eager to get to my chicken pitta with cheese and pineapple as fast as humanely possible. When we arrived, I instantly felt at home. We were shown to a wonderful table looking out on Harrogate's quaint little town by a very friendly and bubbly man who briefly explained to my parent's how the way things worked (I didn't need it explained though, geez I should have a PhD in Nando's ordering!). After deciding what they wanted (which was only of lemon and herb spice, not the most daring) my mum went up to order. Then we endured a fairly short wait (but a wait was to be expected considering the busyness of the town because of the gift fair). This wait however was not boring. The decoration of the branch was wonderful with feelings of vibrancy and a lively atmosphere pulsing throughout the room. When the food arrived we tucked in, absolutely starving. The wait was worth it. My parents 'mmmmed' and 'ahhed' as they bit into their pittas, the extra cheese oozing out. Mission complete. Their confidence in restaurants had been restored. 10 minutes later three polished plates rested on the colourful table and all we had to do was finish our probably third round of bottomless drinks. We slurped and sipped until the refreshing drink had gone and then with a cheery wave bye, we left. We didn't have dessert due to being utterly stuffed and contented, but no doubt next time the cheesecake and frogurt will be tasted and I am sure we won't be dissappointed!
