Leeds - Cardigan Fields - Elliott Review
Lunch time beaconed, and Nando's Cardigan Fields was to be the location. Situated on the outskirts of Leeds, it is one of the more difficult branches to reach.
As you enter, the outlet is split in to three. There is a line of plants in the middle, with tables either side. The till and grill is on the left. The third area is at the rear, and is a long thin section mainly containing circular booths which is adjacent to the toilets. There was a fair amount of Nando's decoration, although nothing really worthy of note except the child's book shelf which is at the front of the store.
Food arrived after 8 minutes, and was OK. Ordered 5 chicken wings mango and lime, and a chocolate Gelado. The wings were quite tough, not that great, although did have a good amount of spice on them which made them a little more enjoyable. The Gelado was good although nothing you can really do to make Gelado bad!
This Nando's is located in the Cardigan Fields leisure park in West Leeds. You can reach this outlet by train from Burley Park and a 20 minute walk, or by bus from Leeds City which stops outside the retail park (Numbers 33, 33A, and 757). There is a Hollywood Bowl, Vue cinema, Five Guys, Virgin Active, and other food outlets close by. There are hundreds of free parking spaces outside the outlet, which is easily reached from the Leeds ring road.
Overall a fairly average outlet. Food was just OK, decoration and cleanliness was OK, staff were rather friendly and did everything that was asked. Not one to make a specific trip too, more one to visit if it is convenient.
