Leeds - The Light - Pompey Ranger Review
This store is one of the older bastions of Nandos and I remember coming here several years back with the university of Portsmouth Tae Kwon Do club long before I became a fanatic and they managed to squeeze us all in on a Saturday night and the duty manageress at the time even gave us some free nuts and olives. In fact I think it was my second or even third ever Nandos.
The store is at the bottom of a long escalator to the main shopping part of the centre and a Vue cinema and is on the edge of an indoor piazza with some red metal seating around silver tables outside the store but under the shelter of the shopping centre. Inside the wooden french doors it feels quite bistro which is probably due to it being next to and designed like the neighbouring cafe rouge.
It has a split level floor plan with nooks and crannies which create an air of privacy. The staff were very friendly.
My chicken had a burnt wing which was upsetting but the main part of the chicken was eddible, another disappointment was the limited slight scattering of peri salt it had in comparison to peri chips at other store. The chips were hot and tasty though and the coleslaw was cool and plentiful.
Whilst I was in store I also had the treat of Russell Howard coming into the store and sitting behind me and I can reveal he doesn't have a black card as he used his own credit card to buy his food but seemed very at home in a Nandos.
I would happily return to this store again
