Comments - Stand out in our monthly competition! What did you eat? Unique aspects? Parking/transport tips?:
This visit to Nando's was exceptional. Unlike other restaurants, I had the feeling that the staff cared about our time there and not just 'putting up with customers' - a vibe you can get at other social restaurants.
Our table ordered a medium size spicy rice and although the staff (by accident) ordered us a large one, they let us keep the large one and gave us our medium size spicy rice. At this point, we knew that this Nando's was where we'd be coming every tuesday after university lectures.
We went to the cinema afterwards which completed the night, and convienently caught the bus, just seconds away from the complex. We know that it is safe now to go to Nando's day or night, unlike other branches in which it can be quite a walk from public transport.
The only thing which would make Nando's more appealing to students, is a student discount. Most of our meals (half a chicken, two sides and a drink) was over £10. The cinema on top of the meal made the night expensive.
Two promotional ideas that students in Leeds would like is a joint offer - spend over £6 in Nando's and get 25% off your cinema ticket (for example). At the university, if people discovered that there was a Nando's 'hidden' at the bottom of a shopping complex, more people would go, especially if they knew how tasty it was. More advertising at the university would definatly be benefitial.
