Leicester - Highcross - Pompey Ranger Review
This store is part of the Highcross retail unit with big names like John Lewis, House of Fraser and Debenhams along with food greats like Carluccios and Cafe Rouge. The Store commandeers the key corner location on the edge of the development in a sleek mirrored building with a Showcase cinema housed above it. Parking is in a roof top car park which is confusing to get up to and you loose all grasp of your location and it's a bit of a walk from the store, it is however open in the evenings as well after the shops have shut and has a separate night time entrance. Another handy feature is the Cashpoint next to the entrance.
Inside the store the ceiling is of a high height with ridges going across in the wooden ceiling. There are alcoves cut away into the wall with object d'art stashed away a host of pots and urns stacked up and a Copper back to the service area. The beverage and sauce area was clean and well laid out with 2 beverage stations. The toilets were cleanish and large to cope with the potential number of customers. A mixture of round booths, high tables, bench seating and stand alone tables.
The staff were friendly and helpful and did all the necessary checks during the meal.
Good size servings of Mash and Rice even if the chicken was on the small side though it was cooked well.
