Luton - Gerry Louis Review
Finished 2015 on my 150th Nando's with Luton, my 49th new Nando's of the year and I was very pleased with the visit. About an hour drive from Hounslow, the only delay was finding a space to park in the car park on Library Road opposite the Galaxy Complex. As well as a Subway, there is a Wetherspoons, Cineworld, bowling and arcades. There was a funfair with rides in the square by th complex also but it was too cold for that.
Got there just after 1pm for a late lunch and we were greeted and seated straight away. I asked for table 3 which is literally in the entrance.. It was cold but it wasn't that bad. They keep the door open which is very welcoming but breezy for all the tables just as you enter. A bit f an unorganised queue but once that was sorted ordering was easy and quick. 1/4 chicken mango and lime, peri chips, garlic bread and one halloumi. Arrived in about 9 minutes. The chicken quarter was visibly burnt on the wing, the halloumi was dark but edible, plenty of peri salt on the chips but the garlic bread wasn't toasted at all... Maybe the 'worst' meal of the week compared to the others but it was a good branch all in all.
It's very noisy and the tables are very close to each other making it cramped. The toilet doors are large, heavy and hard to open, medieval style. A member of staff was always around to ask for things so they were constantly present. It was a good end to the year for Nando's for me... To the next 50!
