Luton - Pompey Ranger Review
We parked in the closest car park to the store which was on Library road and is behind a barrier with a chipcoin system. Its a pound an hour and annoyingly we went just over the hour by 5 minutes which we blame on the delay in service.
The store is part of a entertainment complex which also features a cinema and has large doors across the front which could in theory be opened up with seating out the front on the piazza though it wasn't today even though it was very hot. Upon getting in we had a 5 minute wait for a table for 4 and one thing we did notice was the major crowding of the tables with hardly any space in between. We felt particularly sorry for the people sat on tables next to the queue as they had us all squeezed next to them whilst queuing. Perhaps an internal redesign and may by a mezzanine floor. Other than this the store was well decorated and had a vibrant feel to it with lots of interesting pieces, the toilets were also clean. The beverage and sauce counter was clean though a mission to get to through the tables.
The food when it arrived was of a high standard, the chicken cooked perfectly succulent and delicious with plenty of sauce, the chips also well cooked. The corn on the cob was the one let down as it was a bit charred and unfortunately they didn't give me any corn sticks and it was a revelation how hard it is to eat corn without them. Everyone else also enjoyed their food but not the squash in the store.
I would happily return here, but would hope for faster service next time.
