Comments - Stand out in our monthly competition! What did you eat? Unique aspects? Parking/transport tips?:

This Nando's is in the Galaxy centre in Luton town centre meaning it's easily accessible as the train station is 1/4 mile away and there is also plenty of parking. Head to The Mall (Central/Market car parks) as parking is only £1/2hrs, £1.80/3hrs, £2.50/4hrs etc and free between 6pm and 8am. There is signposted parking to "Hotel and Galaxy" in the car parks, but all this does is bring you to the set of stairs/lifts on Floor 5 nearer to the entrance/exit of The Mall, which is closest to the Galaxy. Just park anywhere as it'll only be a few extra seconds walk. The Galaxy is home to a Cineworld, a Namco entertainment bowling alley, a gym group gym and a big Wetherspoon's, so plenty of things to do.

I arrived in Luton at about 3pm on a Thursday afternoon, I made my way past the bloke putting fire down his trousers in the square (this is true) and headed to Nando's! There were only a handful of tables in use, so there was no time to wait and the food came in 7 minutes.

There were about 35 tables in total of all different sizes, so cinema crowds could be allocated easily. There is table/chair seating and bench seating in the front two-thirds of the restaurant (in-front of the drinks/cutlery) with a few booths behind the drinks fountain section. There are also a couple of larger 8-seater tables in the front area.

There are very few canvas paintings on the wall - just a couple of beige coloured ones and the lighting also consists of a few cinema/theatre style lights and two brown chandeliers. A very averagely decorated Nando's - clean and tidy, but nothing special with the decor.

The food was also quite average. I ordered a chicken fillet burger and chips. The chicken only covered half of ciabatta, but was well marinaded - and the slice of tomato was also very small. The chips were a bit soggy on the outside and a bit hard on the inside and mushy... they just needed a couple of extra minutes in the fryer to be cooked properly!

Staff were friendly enough but doing as expected. Pretty average all round this time!
