N1 City - Anonymous Review

To start, I've been in customer service since 2010. 03 Aug 2024, my family drove to N1 City Nando's. We were a total of 8 customers including 1 child. Firstly we waited long for all our orders. 3 orders had to be returned and replaced for visible raw bloody chicken. The garlic roll plate was warm but the roll was cold, that too was returned however visibly not grilled, possibly microwaved. We ordered a kids burger meal with an added slice of cheese and received chicken strips with chips and a slice of cheese in a side bowl??? After checking the receipt we saw the teller ran the incorrect order, it was replaced with a burger meal as requested (note kids meal came last instead of first so the kid waited up until we were done eating). Kids meal chips were so oily, you could see it was re-fried 2-3 times. We received plastic cups to drink out of and was told they ran out of glasses but there was only 3 tables occupied??? And the ones who declined cups because they had cans, didn't receive staws. During all this madness i was way too hungry to return my black burnt liver meal! When calling upon the manager, he took his own time to attend to us, we had to call 3 times. When he eventually came, he did not introduce himself or even offer anything, he just handed over 1 of the replacement meals while chatting to staff. When we got his attention we explain the above in the same order mentioned. He got defensive against me after showing him a picture of the burnt liver and his focus was on why did i eat the burnt liver and not return immediately??? IF HE MUST KNOW, I AM SICKLY AND NEEDED TO EAT IN ORDER TO MEDICATE IN TIME. He completely ignored all the raw food and wrong order etc. All he could say was "sorry neh" the entire time up until he eventually said "yea but what can i do the store is closed now, i can give you (only my brother in law) a free milk shake when you come again" BUT he didn't even take any of our details down. I left feeling victimized and targeted, he could smile and acknowledge the men but he attacks me? Is it because im female or because I had a Hijab on?
