Comments - Stand out in our monthly competition! What did you eat? Unique aspects? Parking/transport tips?:
New Nandos, I have visited 3 times now, so far terrible everytime. We waited years to have a Nandos in Newbury so it's a real disappointment!
We were seated quite quickly, placed order, wanted to make an addition to the order and had to wait over 10 minutes to do so, as one man was on the tills and yet there were over 13 members of staff walking around-looking at us, as the line of people grew, still not one person thought they should jump on a till.
Long wait for food, could see loads and loads of food on the service area sitting there as staff walked around not taking it to tables. That includes the management who were too busy chatting to care at all. Food eventually arrived, they messed up the order so we told them and instead of replacing the food they gave us extra. Which was weird.
3 times now the staff service has been shocking, really really poor and unusual for a Nandos.
My friends have all been and said the same. One time was a take away and we had to wait an hour for the food which was then cold.
I don't care if it's just opened, it already has a bad reputation and we'd actually make the effort to drive to Basingstoke going forward.
These guys clearly don't care about the customer, have no sense of urgency or common sense in general. They all need additional training and that includes the management.
