This Nando's is part of the Friars Walk development, which is home to a Cineworld, a large Debenhams and other eateries such as GBK and Frankie & Benny's. Newport train station is also only half a mile walk away.
Parking: 
Friars Walk does have its own car park, but it only holds 350 vehicles which is not very big for everything on offer. The car park charges Mon-Sun and is free for the first hour, then priced at £1.20/hr up to 4hrs, 4-6hrs/£6.00, 6-10hrs/£8 and 10-24hrs/£15.00. There is also an evening rate charged from 6pm-6am at only £1.50.

They had run out of a certain item. I won’t name it but it’s a fundamental of cooking and seasoning. I needed some for my chips but there was none in the entire restaurant (the reasons for which were explained to me and I perfectly understand). I have ASD, and amongst a plethora of other idiosyncrasies, eating my chips without said item, and it’s common or garden partner, is one of them.

Brilliant food, had a table for 12 people and the food was amazing and a very good price. Will definitely return again. Parking is very good and the staff were very friendly. A very spotlessly clean restaurant.

I ordered a takeaway, arriving exactly at the arranged pick up time; the restaurant was a third full at most. I have ordered from here twice previously and each time they have missed something from the order. Additionally, it is now 2 out of 3 orders that have taken longer than half an hour after arriving for collection.

Onto the second Nando's of the evening and it took me over the Severn Crossing (at a cost of £6.60) and a 50 mile detour or so... Needless to say I had high expectations!

I absolutely LOVED my experience with Nando's. I have never been before and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I went with my daughter and my husband. All the staff there was so helpful and friendly, I could see they are putting so much effort into their work to make everyone feel welcome, we surely did! The food was magnificent and the service at the tills was really quick and easy. Well done to every single one of you. I will be coming again very soon.
