O2 Arena - Ryan Review
My first time to the O2 and was pleasantly surprised with the whole venue. I can imagine it gets heaving on event nights and it's probably not as much fun, but at a lunchtime on a Friday it was nice and calm!
As well as plenty of places to eat here, there's also a Cineworld which drivers can get four hours free parking for. Otherwise (for non-event parking) it's £5/2hrs, £7/4hrs, £9/6hrs, £10/9hrs and upwards from there... Otherwise North Greenwich tube stop is just a few minutes walk away.
This Nando's is located over two floors (three including the toilets) and you see them both as you walk up to it... as well as above the main entrance (and so also what you see as you get to the first floor) is a big red heart made from red foil segments. A spiral staircase takes you between all three floors - and the two seating floors are very spacious.
There are lots of booths including lots of larger circular ones on both floors and other sized booths making it very easy to accommodate multiple large parties. Downstairs the artwork on the walls is more prevalent (especially as soon as you enter) - as upstairs it is a little darker due to a lot of dark wooden clad walls. There are some nice red paper light shades though.
Being lunchtime, I opted for a familiar chicken fillet burger and chips and it came in four minutes. The chips were hot and crispy and plentiful and the burger was thick, juicy and saucy.
Staff did what was expected. I was buzzed upstairs "table for two please", but then nobody was there to greet you upstairs, but otherwise the staff were fine.
