Richmond - Gerry Louis Review
this is one of my local Nando's I've visited time and time again, it's always touch and go, just depends on when you get there. but they've had an overhaul of the previous staff so maybe that's what improved that day's service.
my friend had me waiting for over 20 minutes but they didn't once come over to bother me about sitting at the table reading my book.
I ordered my new meal of half chicken mango and lime, sweet mash, which I needed after not getting any the day before, halloumi and garlic bread. I love this GARLIC BREAD, UNSURE WHY BECAUSE I NEVER USED TO EAT IT BEFORE, maybe it's the Nando's effect, if they provide it, it's better. the food arrived about 8 minutes after it was ordered but the chicken was a bit burnt and the halloumi. and it wasn't hot enough to not go cold so quickly if that makes sense. THE GARLIC BREAD was all good though so no complaints about that. and the mash.... so good, plenty of mash, the right colour and no lumps.
they came to clear up the table before I was finished and ended up taking away my chicken which I wasn't too happy about. I didn't really complain but as I mentioned it, they gave me a 205 discount off my cheesecakes which I ordered for the first time. the chocolate one was a bit too dark for me to enjoy completely but my friend enjoyed her caramel one, which I then had the next day.
this restaurant is not that big so there isn't a lot of decoration in here but they keep it clean and made up for It with their service and semi good food. i'll still frequent it tho, but only going by bus as there is no where to park unless you are a resident or wait til after 6 on a week day, if you can manage to find a spot, to get a parking bay.
