Comments - Stand out in our monthly competition! What did you eat? Unique aspects? Parking/transport tips?:

Romford Nando's is set in quite a nice amusement complex, with a massive car park attached. It reminded me quite a bit of the Galleria in Hatfield, with parking outside as well as inside. You can also see the Nando's from a distance as you approach, which is a nice touch, and something which should be on every horizon in my opinion!

When we arrived the man who showed us to our table was pleasant enough, though told us the wait would be much longer than it was. It seems this is a tactic at busy Nando's, where they try to get you to leave by advertising a greatly exaggerated waiting time. However, clearly this opportunity to add Romford to my list was not going to be passed up!

Ordering was reasonably straightforward until the card machine jammed. This would have been more annoying had the waitress not been a particularly bubbly character (I forget her name but she was a trainee). She was definitely the nicest member of staff I came across - the rest were distinctly Nando's average (not a bad thing but not worthy or more than a 3/5)

With the order complete, the search for tap water began. This branch is rather large, and spread out across three levels. The top one is around two storeys higher than the others, and I got back to the top before discovering there was only a water machine on the ground floor! Unimpressed, I had to journey back down again, and then navigate past the till queues and up the stairs with two full glasses. Also with regard to the decoration, the layout was more impressive than the intricacies, which could have done with a makeover. The table was Nando's sticky as usual!

Food took a while (almost a 1/5), and could be seen sitting around on the ledge. It seemed to be a pretty common chip issue, where the chicken was ready but there were no chips to send out with it. The food itself was pretty good, but nothing remarkable. A solid 3/5!

Overall, I wouldn't rush back to Romford Nando's, but also wouldn't avoid it if I was in the area. I'd watch out on a busy Saturday night though; I'm guessing it can get mobbed and service may suffer accordingly!
