Shepherds Bush - Damien Review
Nando's 23 in Shepherds Bush is surrounded by dozens of popular fast food chicken shops, yet still busy despite drastically over-pricing these supposed competitors.
You'd think this'd speak volumes of greatness about the dining quality of this restaurant but, sadly, I have to report that it's hands-down one of my worst Nando's experiences yet.
The food was by-the-by, and generally fast to come out, but the entire place was stupidly crowded (with 8+ people to a 4 person table), almost deafeningly noisy, and the staff were rude, constantly dragging, dropping, and banging tables. The girl serving me actually stopped to answer the phone as I was placing my order, and didn't even ask to be excused or apologise after.
Being the local peri peri chicken haunt of TV comedian Richard "Edinburgh King" Herring, I expected better things of Shepherds Bush Nando's. It's just not the kind of place you want to be sitting in and eating, especially considering you'll probably be paying upwards of a tenner for it.
Next time I'll just get 6 wings and an apple pie from Chicken Cottage.
