So onto the next Nando's of the evening and the short walk up Uxbridge Road to Shepherd's Bush Nando's!

As this is a 10-minute walk from the Westfield, it means getting here is also easy with Shepherd's Bush Market tube stop being the nearest (a couple of minutes walk) - but Shepherd's Bush Overground/Rail and Underground station just a 10-minute walk away. The nearest parking is at the Westfield, so prices are £2.80/1hr, £5.60/2hrs Mon-Sun (6am-3am) and then £6.50/2-24hrs Mon-Fri and £9.50/2-24hrs Sat-Sun.

It was about 8:30pm when I got to this one and I was happy to see things weren't as manic as the Westfield, with the restaurant being about a third full. I had a pleasant arrival and was warmly greeted by Myrander (that was tha ctual spelling), but overall the staff did as expected.

While I scored the Westfield a 2 due to its uncleanliness, I'm afraid this one would probably score a 2 outright as it is an old and fairly dull Nando's inside... but also, as with the Westfield, the toilets were again dirty, with no soap in either dispenser and water all over the floor...

All the walls and ceiling are painted with an off-white/beige colour, but then with very few artwork pieces to brighten things up. There are a couple of large dark blue canvas paintings on the left wall from the entrance and a few smaller paintings on the back-lef wall (by the toilets entrance) - and a few wooden carvings also dotted on the walls... but generally this is a very sparse restaurant. The lighting consists of mainly spotlights within the ceiling and then just a few short red round shades.

There was a 9 minute wait for the food and after yet another disappointing London Nando's meal at the Westfield, I had no hopes for this at all... but I was pleasantly surprised! I had a half chicken, ratatouille, chips, olives and Savannah cider... and I cannot fault any bit of it at all. Firstly the portion size of everything was so big! Infact the ONLY issue would be that perhaps it was so big, some of my food started to get a little cold before I finished it! Yes, this was a massive portion! But, it was also cooked perfectly too. The chicken wasn't just big, it was very meaty and so very juicy. It had just the right amount of charring on the outside but was then still piping hot and white right down to the bone and absolutely smothered in sauce. The chips portion was also huge and hot and crispy and the ratatouille portion was also too big for the bowl and piping hot. Superb indeed - I just wish I'd come here first! :-)
