Comments - Stand out in our monthly competition! What did you eat? Unique aspects? Parking/transport tips?:

Spent a Sunday walking around the Longmynd - and what better way to finish than chicken and chips? :-) Found the nearest one was Shrewsbury so a slight detour to get us there.

It was located on a reasonable sized leisure park with a Cineworld and a couple of either restaurants on the same complex. The parking was a little misleading. There was a mini one just outside Nando's that was full - but if you keep your eye out when approaching the complex, there's actually a huge car park a bit further round. It's free too which was great.

There was a queue of about 20 people crammed into the doorway in no particular order - and the waiting area inside was also completely full... so it looked like a long wait. Luckily for me though, I was in a party of two and we were seated within 10 minutes! It seemed like the others were groups of four - so take note if you're heading there in a larger group.

To me it seemed like a really oddly laid out Nando's. The seating is placed all around a high wall in the middle of the restaurant. I was seated behind this wall, so all the light was blocked out. There were some booths slightly behind us too and they seemed even darker. The inside lights were on too, but it was just a bit too dark.

It was really busy, so a wait was expected - and after a 15 minute queue to order, there was a further 15-20 minute wait for the food. It was a bit dry too - there were loads of plates just sitting under the heatlamps. Plates piled on top of plates too. Didn't seem like a branch that could cope with very busy periods too well. No Extra Extra Hot table sauce either to make up for the dryness... infact I had to use Medium as that was the only stuff there!
