I found myself in central London and my friend and I were craving a Nandos. We had been at an event at the 02, but the Nando's there had a massive queue and we couldn't be bothered to wait. As we needed to get back to Waterloo to get the train home, we headed there and then used the Nando's App to find the nearest branch (what did we do without the Nando's App?!?!). It is about a 10 minute walk from Waterloo, but seems to be off the main touristy roads so it was not busy (but I would imagine it is busy in the week around mealtimes - we were there on a Sunday around 3pm). Being so close to Waterloo it is near mainline and tube services as well as about a million bus routes that all go around some or all of the "IMAX roundabout" as I call it.

There were only a few tables occupied and the lady asked where we wanted to sit. My friend said anywhere but not in the window. We were shown to a nice booth which would normally have sat 4 or more people but it was nice to be given a big table bearing in mind it was quiet. When I went up to order mine (the usual) the lady remembered our table number as she was the one who showed us to our seat-which although it was quiet I thought was a really nice touch. The food came out really quickly, I had gulped down one soft drink and was just getting a refill when it arrived. Everything was present and correct. My friend would have preferred her chicken skin to be a bit crispier and I thought my pineapple was a little hard, and the chips perhaps a little unevenly cooked but that is me being really picky. Overall it was a really nice meal, we were not disappointed.

This Nando's is in a funky looking building from the outside and inside didn't disappoint. Whilst the last new Nando's I went to felt a bit more grand, this one had a really cool Mexican Cantina kind of feel with wooden tables and chairs and décor that complemented it. I'm possible being a bit harsh only giving it a 4 out of 5, as it was really nice, but I have been to others that I prefer.
