Stratford - Westfield - Elliott Waters Review
Stratford Westfield, the biggest Nando's in the world, and today's Nando's location!
I entered the outlet, and was left waiting for quite a while, with not a staff member in sight. When one did eventually arrive, I was thrusted a Menu, and lead to Table 42. And that's the extent of the welcome. After a short period deliberating the menu, I went to place my order. Despite the outlet not being that busy (or appearing so, as it's so big), I ended up waiting quite a while for my order to be taken. Considering this is the biggest Nando's in the world, I would have expected them to have enough staff in order to meet the demand, especially at not busy periods. The staff member who took my order wasn't overly fussed, punched it in the till, and passed me a glass (which was dirty), and sent me on my way. I got the glass changed, and headed over to one of the many drinks points around the outlet. The one I used looked like it has seen better days, with the tray a little black, stickers peeling off, and generally looking unkept.
The outlet itself is huge, and has some quite nice decor. It has an inside and an 'outside' which simply means you are out on the shopping mall floor.
Food arrived after waiting 15 minutes, and didn't look that appealing. I ordered chicken burger mango and lime with salad and corn. The tomato in the burger wasn't bad, I enjoyed it, and the lettuce was fresh and aplenty. The chicken had essence of Peri-Peri on it unfortunately, and the bun was rather cold, rather than the crispy and warm it should be. The corn was a little dissapointing. Slightly warm, and burnt quite a bit, it was also rather tough. Salad was OK, the tomatoes could have done with being a little bigger.
Not a great trip, and I won't be coming here again if I can help it!
