Stratford - Westfield - Adam9154 Review
This was my first trip to a non-local Nando's for a while so I thought I would write a review. I have been to this one once before a long time ago but didn't review it then so this will be my first for this branch.
Westfield Statford is one of the busiest shopping centres in the UK, going there at 3pm on a Satuday it was incredibly busy. It's difficult to find the branch in this giant shopping centre unless you use one of the computer maps to locate it, though most of the restaurants are on the third floor so it's just best to head up there. I do like this shopping centre though even though it's always super busy, there are so many different shops and you could spend an entire day there with a cinema right opposite Nando's and a Casino right outside it. (Not that I'm suggesting gambling!)
Unfortunately I noticed during this trip that the price of food has gone up, so my meal is now over £17 and I might have to start getting less food :( I'm not sure when it happened but I assume it was the start of February. They also have new drinking glasses which were cool. This branch still has the old type of drinks machine, I wish all of the branches would upgrade to the touchscreen ones as they are much better. This really big branch has multiple spots for sauces and drink refills which is good.
Speed of Service - 5/5, Though I have given this a 3/5 as it did take 15 minutes to get our food, and 10 minutes to get a table and get served, I will have to give the branch a 5/5 here because of how very busy it was. There was a big queue when we arrived and I thought it would take forever, but we got a table for 3 within 5 minutes. There was also a queue to be served but they had staff on all tills so it again only took a few minutes. As I said, the food took 15 minutes too arrive which was also really surprising. I have never have a meal so fast at a branch this busy, but I assume they must be used to a well trained for this.
Quality of Food - 3/5, The speed however may have had negative effects on the food, my chips were nice and my garlic bread was okay, but the bottom of my chicken was burnt, the top of it was really nice however so scraping the burnt bottom off made it tasty. The amount of chips I got was generous and I found my meal very filling and it was an average and better than my local Nando's often is.
Friendliness of Staff - 4/5, The staff were very friendly in this branch, we got greeted by a happy staff member and shown which queue to join whilst we waited the 5 minutes for our table. The Nandoca who served me was also very friendly though for some reason when I gave her my Nando's card she pulled a face and told me I had nothing on it to use, I knew this but I wanted my point. The Nandoca who brought our food over was nice and asked if we wanted anything more. Twice during our meal we got asked if everything was okay and if we wanted anything else so that was really good. I finished my meal long before my friends since I got more than them, and their plates were taken immediately when they finished. I'm not sure if this is good or not since I was left the only one with a plate on the table.
Decor - 3/5 - This is a nice Nando's, it's curved with views over the shopping centre, a bunch of the tables (including the one I was sitting on) were barely in the branch, instead out into the shopping centre outside the main bit so I didn't get a good view of all the decor in there, though it was mostly the typical unique Nando's artwork that you see. It wasn't very clean, with food around on the floor and under the table we were seated at, but I guess it's hard to keep a really large, busy branch clean all the time.
Overall I'd have to give my trip to this branch a 4/5, mainly because of how impressed I was with the speed of our meal. I will probably return to this branch in the future next time I'm in the area visiting friends, it is a cool shopping centre.
