Swiss Cottage - O2 Centre - Ryan Review
So onwards to the next Nando's and so I headed to the O2 Centre in Swiss Cottage. I walked the mile or so just so I could attempt to keep my metabolism moving... but again this Nando's is serviced by Finchley Road tube stop (Jubilee/Metropolitan) and Finchley Road & Frognal Overground. The O2 Centre is home to other eateries, a Vue Cinema and parking priced at £3/2hrs, £4/3hrs, £6/5hrs, £10/7hrs and upwards from there once you have validated your ticket.
The whole of the front of the restaurant is open onto the ground floor of the O2 Centre, so you get the full restaurant beckoning you in. There are some lights dangling from the wooden slatted ceiling, with a good array of artwork on the left wall by the entrance.
There is one large booth at the back in its own barrel and chandelier - and then there are some larger, higher tables in the middle of the restaurant with large stools/piano stools for seats. Just round/behind the barrel are a few more tables tucked away too, so a chance for a bit of privacy.
A new friendly trainee served me. She voided my card transaction three times on accident... but she had a wonderful smile! Other than that, the staff did as expected.
I was having the fillet burger and chips again and with the restaurant being quite empty by 5pm, the food came in a quick three minutes - and was bubbling hot! I was given a very large breast piece - so much it was creeping out over the edges. It wasn't thin either and very thick and juicy and smothered in sauce. The slice of lettuce was like a big lily pad - I cold have used it for some shade in the sun and the slice of tomato was equally as big, so all very nice. The chip portion was very big as well and they were hot and crispy.
The stairwell up to the toilets had some further artwork on and the toilet mirror also had a pebble effect around it. Overall a pleasant Nando's.
