Telford - Pompey Ranger Review
This store in the new extension to the Telford shopping centre which whilst started in the 70's as a new town centre is improving greatly from it's carbuncle roots and the area of the store is picturesque, though you will struggle to find it on many maps. The car park I parked in was on coach central street but again isn't on the maps yet but is to the south of of the centre.
The store is amoungst many restaurants and near an Ice rink and a Cineworld cinema, it's on a corner and one side looks out across open space, though this could just be awaiting the next stage of development. Parking was cheap costing only £1 on sundays or in the evenings after 6pm, slightly more during the work day being about £1.60 for 2 hours.
The store is bright and vivid having 2 fronts with windows around the corner, outside there is a veranda which is over hung by the flats above giving some shelter for the booths that surround it. The mass stack of chairs and tables suggest that they can extend even further in the summer. Inside good artwork, nice wooden theme and larger than expected with it extending at the back of the store behind it's neighbour. The till area is bright with yellow tiles fronting the counter, the seating in store is split between booths, tables and wall benching. The lights were bright and colourful or in glass baubles, both of which looked good.
The staff were exceptionally friendly especially the manager who was very talkative and jovial.
The food came out good as well, chips hot and tasty and the chicken succulent and flavoursome.
Very happy to revisit this store in the future.
