Thanet - James RYN Review
After lunch at Dover Nando's, I have to say I didn't really fancy a Nando's dinner, but we were so close to Thanet that I couldn't pass it up! Luckily this Nando's didn't disappoint.
Firstly I must say what a great job Harry the Nandoca did. He was impressed with my multiple Nando's cards, and worked with me to reach the best solution to maximise usage of an orange reward and acquisition of a chilli on a different card. He also asked if I wanted the quarter chicken breast I ordered 'well done', i.e. slightly more grilled than usual, which is something I've never been asked before - intriguing! He also checked up on us later on, solidifying that 5/5 for staff.
As for decoration, this Nando's is quite an old one, and nothing really stood out. It was clean though, so an average 3/5 in that department.
Other than Harry, the food was the highlight of the evening, with a rare 5/5 being achieved. I ordered a double pitta, and I've never seen such large chicken breasts in a Nando's - they literally wouldn't fit in the pitta, so I had to cut one in half and eat it separately. The chips were piping hot and perfectly coated in peri-spice, and the halloumi was fresh off the grill and absolutely stunning. Spice level was just right, and I left very satisfied!
