Thurrock - Lakeside Retail Park - Marc Joss Review
This was a great Nando's visit before an evening interpreting job in Beckton. It's situated in a retail with ample free parking and enjoys an incredible amount of natural light from its position on a corner and high ceiling. The funky dangling lighting on the right as you walk in is also fantastic.
There are plenty of sofa seats which is where I sat on a quiet Tuesday for a late lunch at 3ish. The staff were all lovely, especially manager Belinda! My food came after 7 or 8 minutes and was very nice. I was again impressed with the portion size of the single peri chips, although the chicken could have been a tad spicier which explains the score of 4 rather than 5. I was also delighted to be given two plastic containers of mayo rather than the problematic single which is what usually happens!
There are enormous pieces of artwork lining the top of the Nando's as you head towards the stairs that lead to the bathroom although some of the pieces seemed a bit weird and repetitive which is why I've gone for a 4.
All in all, this was a great meal and I hope the other 2 Nando's in the area are just as nice, not that I know when those Nandventures might be just yet.
