Newcastle - Silverlink

Me and my wife attended silverlink Nando’s, on arrival the man said it was 25 mins wait we asked to sit in the seating waiting area which had no people at all waiting. He said we couldn’t had to wait outside in the middle of winter because these seats were over ran at times by delivery drivers. Yet no one was even there. We then drove to cramlington Nando’s 5 mins away. Absolutely absurd, Nando’s is primarily a restaurant and I’ve always frequently attended it.

Decided to tick off the second last North East Nando's that I needed to visit, and Silverlink (North Shields) was the place. After a fairly pleasant drive, I arrived at Silverlink, and found the Nando's.

Entering the outlet, all I could think was WOW. The decoration here is spectacular, but more on that later! I was quickly seated by the helpful Nandoca, who showed me to Table 3, on the right hand side of the outlet, by the window.

This store is a new add on at a retail and leisure complex adjoining a Odeon Cinema. It's quite thin and compact but with a high ceiling. Colourful oil drum lids adorn the back wall and their colours compliment the fishnet balloon lampshades in multi colours. There is seating either side of the entrance which itself faces onto the servery. It has full height windows which need to be screened against the low winter sun due to its south facing aspect.

After a long drive up to Newcastle, what better way to unwind than with a nice chicken dinner?

This Nando's is located on the Silverlink retail park which is well sign-posted by road. One thing that made me laugh was the wording actually on the road at a roundabout - "S'link Only" ha ha. There are thousands of free parking spaces too. The retail park is home to many large shops (I.e. M&S) and an Odeon and other eateries.
