Leigh - Marc Joss Review
A visit to the second highest-rated Nando's in the country was long overdue, especially after I won a competition on their Facebook page back in December 2013 entitling me to a free full platter. Luckily manager Phil was aware of the time and effort I put into getting the necessary likes on my comment to win although 13 months had gone by.
This visit coincided with #RYNonTour and seemed a fitting time to check out one of the top rated UK Nando's the evening before our lunch at the newest central Manchester Nando's.
We arrived just after 6.30 on a cold and wet Saturday night and were greeted by Phil who decided to take charge of Nandoers coming in rather than the kitchen. There isn't an ideal waiting area at this Nando's, although there is a long sofa that runs opposite the tills and food counter. People kept flooding in, many of whom were going for the pre-cinema chicken fix with a Cineworld just next door.
After around a 20-minute wait for a table, we were seated and went up to order. The queue was minimal, but we timed it well as just after we had placed our order, it extended almost all the way down the width of the restaurant!
Food arrived after 10 minutes or so, and was rather nice. My chicken was saucy, but not that spicy. Other members of the party had less luck with their food which is why I can't give it more than a 3.5 on this occasion.
As for the décor, you can tell this is a fairly new Nando's! An eclectic range of lighting and artwork line the restaurant, with the stand-out piece being an array of colourful carpets that run down the length of it on the ceiling.
All in all this was a good visit and I can see why Nando's Leigh is rated so highly.

Visited Nando's in early
Visited Nando's in early February mid week and based on recommendations from family and friends and was not disappointed, service was great and a all staff were friendly and helpful.
The quality of service and food were better than expected and the surroundings just right.
The only word of caution is don't try and have a meal and combine with a visit to the Cinema as the parking charges if you overstay are a complete joke. The most expensive Nando's by far
