Manchester - Arndale - Marc Joss Review
When taking a look at the Arsenal fixtures at the start of the season, City Arsenal in late September caught my eye especially as I knew I'd be moving to France soon after. I therefore spoke to reliable fellow Arsenal and Nando's fans Mark and Sam and within hours, everything was sorted. The question was: which Nando's to visit? Having already been to Fallowfield, Printworks and Fort, Arndale got the nod as it's the closest to Shudehill Coach Station.
We arrived around 12.30 on Sunday afternoon and the huge Nando's façade instantly grabbed our attention. This branch is pretty big and spread over 2 floors with around 50 tables in total.
We were seated immediately and there was a minimal queue to order. Food arrived swiftly and I have to say it was a mixed bag. The chips were plentiful but not enough peri salt and the chicken was ok but could have done with some sauce. To make matters worse, my wing was missing the end bit which is known to be my favourite! I felt it would have been petty to complain so I kept quiet and got on with it. Unfortunately Sam's peri salt didn't appear on his chips until he declared it was missing to a Nandoca. This did turn out to bring one benefit however, as a tub of peri salt was brought over with more than you would ever get from the counter.
Décor was rather nice and the vicinity to the coach station is a plus for travelling football fans like me! It's a shame we didn't get to sit upstairs on the balcony, maybe next time! Good result for Arsenal so all in all, a great day.
