Rate Your Nando's was lucky enough to have a 6 person table on dry run day at this brand spanking new Nando's. We were warmly welcomed in by Gary who seated us directly below the stunning green lighting which greets you as you walk in. I was joined by 5 other big Nando's fans including Sammi and Lisa (birthday girl) who received free meals for two on our Facebook page. It was everyone's first dry run day and we were all rather excited to tuck in!

There was no queue to order and we all chose from the special dry run menu. After ordering we were shown around the restaurant and even got a sneak peak at the kitchen and Gary explained how the new Nando's ovens make it physically impossible for undercooked chicken to be served which was good to know!

The food arrived swiftly and it was excellent all round; lots of peri spice on the chips and the chicken was a good size. My only niggle was that my extra hot chicken did nothing to tickle my taste buds unlike my recent visit to the new Vauxhall Arch Nando's.

What I love about this Nando's is that there is something different everywhere you look be it an array of bottles of sauce/wine on the wall, African paintings or wood carvings. There's even a rather uncharacteristic, colourful depiction of New York towards the back of the restaurant just behind one of two subtly styled columns.

After dessert, we were all given a Nando's goodie bag which was a lovely touch and I'm sure this restaurant will be a huge success with the Sutton Coldfield locals and Brummies in general. Great stuff!
