Kilburn - James RYN Review
My memories of Kilburn Nando's are that it is distinctly average, and I only made this visit to appease the needs of my fellow co-founder.
The food took quite some time to arrive (especially given how empty the branch was), though it was definitely the highlight, with the burger being the largest I have seen in quite some time, and filling the bun from end to end. This went against the usual trend of Halal branches serving smaller portions of meat, and was certainly a pleasant surprise. Chips were abundant and not burnt or bitty, and the rice was sufficiently moist and hot.
Decoration and staff weren't bad, but nothing spectacular. I'd say this Nando's should be high on the list for modernisation, and the decoration is in a similar style to other old inner-London branches such as Kentish Town and Balham. However, everything was very clean and I have no complaints about the organisation of sauces or cutlery.
Overall, this visit lifted my view of Kilburn Nando's somewhat, and I'd consider visiting again if I was in the area.
