Swiss Cottage - O2 Centre

I was under 2 weeks old so I couldn't eat any chicken, but I enjoyed the decor and felt very relaxed at my first Nando's! The staff were very kind as well and offered me a high chair, which I politely refused as I couldn't sit up yet!

This store in the O2 centre which is based around a gym and has a few shops such as paper chase and a book shop.

Being inside a shopping centre it is a little dark and dingy and the front tables are basically eating in the shopping centre. However the large barrel with a table within it give real character at the back of the store.

The staff were friendly and communicative and did the necessary checks.

First time at a Nando's in general. Impressed by the food. Good stuff.

I have actually walked past this Nando's on many occasions, but never actually been inside. This was the perfect excuse to do so. I came after work as usual, so had to stay a little later to make the 7pm start. The O2 centre is located very close to both the underground station (Finchley Road) and the overground (Finchley and Frognal). There are also a load of buses that pass Finchley Road as it is quite a major road so I could have actually got one home!

Nandos reviewer dinner 21 (8th reviewer dinner I have been to) this place brought back a lot of memories and Nandos nostalgia as it happened to also be the first Nandos I visited many years ago. It hasn't changed a great deal over the years I must admit, it still is very much similar. The food was great, I had half a chicken (hot) peri chips and garlic bread with bottomless fizzy drink, all thanks to RYN having won a combo meal in the reviewer raffle before we ordered.

RYN21 was held at the extremely well located (for me) Finchley Road O2 Centre. Not my first time to this branch (just checked, and I've done the whole nearest station etc. before)... Initially thought I might not make it to the meal as I picked up a headache at work due to the office turning into a greenhouse with all its windows and a broken air-con system (talk about first world problems).

I travelled to my first ever RYN's reviewers dinner via train getting off at West Hampstead Thameslink station and then walking the short distance from there to the O2 Centre (10 mins on foot). To get from the station to the Nandos I walked through the O2's centre main outdoor car park and I can report that the were plenty of parking spaces available, priced reasonably at £3 for 2 hours which should be long enough to enjoy a Nandos meal.

I'll do a double review in this - both one of the restaurant and one of using the Nando's app to order food. I've been to this Nando's before but not reviewed it; and it's one of the more curiously named branches. It's located in The O2 centre on the A41 Finchley Road (which pre-dates the O2 dome in North Greenwich), just as you enter on the right hand side. There's a few shops in the centre, a Sainsbury's supermarket at the back of it and a Vue cinema upstairs.

So onwards to the next Nando's and so I headed to the O2 Centre in Swiss Cottage. I walked the mile or so just so I could attempt to keep my metabolism moving... but again this Nando's is serviced by Finchley Road tube stop (Jubilee/Metropolitan) and Finchley Road & Frognal Overground. The O2 Centre is home to other eateries, a Vue Cinema and parking priced at £3/2hrs, £4/3hrs, £6/5hrs, £10/7hrs and upwards from there once you have validated your ticket.

Lately food quality has been going down this has been noticable over the last six months. Chips not up to scratch.

The barrel is awesome and I always want to sit there.

This will be my last visit to this branch. Second awful experience in a row. Two strikes and you're out! Victoria left me standing at the till halfway through my order to go and answer the phone. Because there is no door to this branch, it's just an open walkway by the entrance of the O2 centre, it was freezing cold (even after I moved tables). I had to keep my coat and scarf on. The food took 22 minutes to arrive. Even though we had paid for cheese on our burger, it didn't come.

As always with this branch there wasn't a wait for a table and the food came quickly. But the staff were awful. They got my order wrong (brought a mixed salad instead of the Mediterranean salad with chicken which I ordered) Victoria refused to accept she'd brought us the wrong food - and when I showed her the bill she walked away and changed it without saying a word. The portions in this branch are getting smaller each time I come. The frozen yoghurt machine was broken too.

Love sitting in the barrel. Go there to find out what I mean! Food always significantly more drowning in sauce. Although I'm my last visit my friend (cough cough Marc) complained his chicken was too small. Embarrassing!

In a shopping centre just below a cinema, perfect pre/post film meal! Tube station basically next door, and it's always warming in the winter when it's cold outside. I ordered extra-hot and it had just the right amount of spice, hot, but not unbearable. The chicken was tender, and the sides were all hot and generous portions. Love Nandos.

I enjoyed the night out with my fiance and his family; the food was nice, this Nando's has lots of shops surrounding it and is well connected via Finchley Road Underground Station, and by bus. There is also a pay and display car park just outside the O2 Centre.

Basically for the last 4 years we've been allowed to go out of school for lunch. and there just so happens to be a nandos very near by!! i've literally been over a few hundred times, hand-on-heart.
